Donors to the Navy Memorial take great pride in recognizing the service and sacrifices of men and women in uniform and their families. The Navy Memorial reminds the public of the contributions of our nation’s historically significant maritime figures through interactive exhibits and our annual Lone Sailor Award; they commemorate the sea service experiences of more than 600,000 veterans through The Navy Log; they celebrate the service of today’s active duty through the Sailor of the Year program; and they offer dedicated youth programs to educate potential future sea service personnel about the value of military service.
